Sufferings

They come on all together
like a horde of various species
the lions leading the charge
from the middle
terrorizing the wildebeests 
while the horses
horses of every stripe
zebra the edges
making this stampede
a fast jail
while the dragons tear up the rear
devastated to devastation
by the loss 
of a single amulet
from their forgotten underground horde.
