Taken seriously, endeavors become
Paths become careers become legacies
Insofar as valuation goes
Vernacular society requires such an outlay
Of effort
Of bloodless sweat
Of monomaniacal blue energy
We, the micros who constitute this macro
Have managed to become
Administrated and administrators
Perhaps contrary to nature
But who could say what that is
Levitate, we leviathan creatures must
Against the grain of the ground
To guard against too much gravity
With a little grace and gravitas
To build a little eulogy
A straightforward obituary
Both of which can be delivered
By colleagues in our delightful struggle
