Quietude

Fervent silence pours quiet rain
on my empty head, filling me with moisture
and molecular ministry: a heraldry for the
tomorrow that is only its today

a mimicry without equal
a salvation without salve
a parallel paradox, unsung songbird
an intersection without avenues

my evaporations endothermic
endeavor to articulate temporary temperature
a dwelling in which to pause
and become neither hot nor cold

a bleary eyed tearless sob
on the least sad day
in the most dry hour.
