Dream Authorship

Alert: authority's ethereal fingernails
are digging into our shoulders
and so be it
for we are under each others' 
locks, keys, and boulders
commanded to keep lists
reprimanded by audible fists
in the legal, financial, political constraint system
not to mention culture
and family and friends;
you know this
I know this
we are aware
but we must not be quiet to ourselves
it is our lullaby for
sweet, lighthearted dreams .
