Contraptual

Build a better machine:
that was the lesson from
Monopoly and other games;

that lead to the coining of
monopology and other shames
in addition to a professional streak
of "I resign" from the contracts that
said, At Will either way, true mutuality;

what they didn't say could have filled
more than those terms and conditions
that no one wrote, for the unstated signature
on your birth certificate, numbered socially secure;

such was the certainty that you must confirm that
you're just a little bit better than average
at least annually, and you won't get out of
this leather bound blue book with the chip inside;

because you pledged effusiveness to the mag,
page by page and one metal jacket at a time,
for protection and mutually assumed destruction.
