The eagles are afraid

What does an eagle have to fear
when they can eat or escape from all comers
there is much in the way of sparrows
who are here to tell you
get away from my nest
off this lawn
and there are so many
for we are we
and you are one
that you might make it
but one of your eyes may not
and then you won't even see us coming
though the eagle and depth perception
are unknown factors
as fear is a depth of perception
whose option is chosen at peril
to make the world appear far away
and too close to handle.
