Where did I leave my intention
is it on the porch 
next to the shoes 
that are a little sweaty
from a bike ride around a lake

or perhaps the desire
specificity tired
has a parameter
that has not been translated
from the language at the heart
of the brain above

all I can say
which I will do silently
is that adverbs are awful
inexactitude is difficult
and the sun is a wonderful star.
