From a distance
ideas appear to place
time and personality
on slides to examine
and present at conferences
while such visions may inspire
or depress
the quality of a picture
is worth a map of a land
that does not exist
where there be creatures
mythically ideal
making their ways through lives
unending clarity style and morals
of that type from the best dreams
and if you watch them from far enough
the reality will appear
to be all that imagination might make
while on earth there is much fear
getting too close is quite the same
at which moment all is blended
and even with the arm can just touch
no representation will do
that which the will desires.
