Defined Human

Human seems to me the most inhumane way to refer
To a person or people; yes, of course, it's the thing we
Say: "Oh, that was inhuman; he is inhuman." By the
Opposite, the excommunication from human-ity, it
Is said, here is the club, you are no longer in, it says
Just what club we are talking about; something defined
By morality and behavior, with only some a part of it;
The morality component is my first objection, the
Second is the resource component: humans are not
Cogs in any machine, as anyone could agree, but
Why then are they (we?) managed as resources,
With our own department committed to controlling
I mean suing I mean squeezing the productivity out
Of the Humans in the Enterprise; yes, if we are human,
We fall into the same pattern as the Mind; separate from
The body as the human is separate from the individual
Person, and don't get me wrong, I don't mean individual
In an Ayn R. libertarian "other people" hating way; I
Mean that people are more than just a big pile of
Humans, even if most of the people need similar
Nutrition and treatment for diseases; we may be
Of the same biological category, but we are also
Quite a bit more than the fact of an evolutionary
Economical wet dream, with fittest survival and
Sexual selection and theories about leisure classes;
"We" humans, and I think the we deserves the
Scare quotes just as much as the "human", have
A lot more going on than five letters could
Articulate, even as we need a lot less than
We think to become a sort of we
