wins and we have to take our 
subconscious neuroses and pretend 
that everything is fine, even when it's 
all inexplicably okay; confusion is to 
be parsed but not avoided, conviction 
to be rejected and always voided: never 
ask a jury for the answer to a question 
when you've known since you were young
