will the story as caution
or instruction manual
lose itself in the thoughts
of the considering mind

shall the tale bring up
to a height the moral
of the mistakes, supposedly
repeated, and thus stop

will the questions
that opened the first 
page be the ones
to cage the last breath

shall the character
become the territory
of a soul, or will the
story of the soul
suffer the fate
of the mind before it
and the body after
