Too Many, Overflowing, Not Enough

Floods, foods, ripe fruit;
Shorn from their homes
And brought to the place
That could not care more
Than the inhabitants about
The status of each in the porous
Mind of the group: society is 
A real life thing, swear it on the
Book of Nixon, I mean Reagan,
I mean that first Roosevelt, who
Could have been on a twenty, but
Decided to take ten out to the pasture
And hunt down the guy running from
The law, once more than was reasonable.
