i read an article ten years ago
called how to be interesting
the article had recommendations
to achieve this attractive goal
visually represented
in a very interesting manner
i was interested in becoming interesting
quit a dull job
moved and traveled to new places
quit more jobs
took a few pictures
tried, in effect, to become (and sometimes to
be) interesting.
interestingly,
interesting is a subjective notion
asking the arbiters of interesting to vote
on my plea
has always seen a hung jury.
the moral of the story
is that time is best passed
(objectively)
interested
and following the interest
rather than trying to be
a gerund of the type
with only the judge
and attention.
