What does the pleasantry mean?
To express gratitude
What does that mean?
To be attentive to the fact of a service
A gift of attention
And perhaps effort
Words alone can feel hollow
As far as communicating thanks goes
I wish there were another layer
To the ritual of saying thank you
To show that I mean it
