those many things in particular
conducting a hunt carefully
rigorously oriented to the goal
it's not obvious and it won't appear
it must be held and examined
cleaned and shined
searching is not a key word
no ad-supported monolith to
the rescue; this will never be
automated by the algorithms
and robots that want to do it all
north is only a magnetic sensation
of maps and compasses
whereas looking for something that
doesn't quite fit the definition
of a single thing has not tools
perhaps a shovel or a hammer
but these are as likely to distract
eyes and ears and hands and a mind
fit for the long run across the trails
not yet marked or worn down
