motion feasts on stationary
note cards, pencils, ink
a la carte is the only mechanism
to restart the stopped, wouldn’t
you say? force an entry to a door
that’s going the wrong way
and you’re well on your way
to a door on the ground
on top of your impatient body
but this is not a cartoon world
graphic novels resound with
the hyperbole that motivates
action without consideration
which is needed
of course
impulses gratified before
resources can be tossed into the sea
asking the dolphins for advice:
shall i swim?
