Looking on from the Inside

The perfect myth
Is a story that's told every day
Believed in the telling
Repeated, by everyone who hears it
It's useful but not practical
Methodical but not practiced
Utilitarian but not rational
Recounted slowly, breathlessly
Missing numbers, hitting words
It's a story that you see, therefore you are
On being and time and somethingness
Existence: a tale of absurdity and rebels
The presumption of both narrator and protagonist
Together, forever, inseparable
The only problem with this legend
Is that it never remembers it's false
