A Matter of Distribution

What's the trick?
The answer is always how it gets from there to there
Sometimes here
But it's in the pipes that the trouble lies
There's no convergence possible to eliminate the transit
Or the cutting into pieces
To share
A farcical verb
For the giving and taking
Can only be seen as sharing
When it's free
But that's not how the pipes work
Transit has a cost
And it's counted
No one forgets to count
The toll bridge
The hotel's fee
The gas station
Make the city bigger by area or height
And you'll have yourself another distribution problem
On top of the ones you already had
Will you be able to distribute efficiently?
Effectively?
For personal or mutual benefit?
It all depends
Do you understand the calculus of exchange?
Do you control some pipes?
I hope you do
But it doesn't really matter
Because all the pieces will come apart
And come back together
And the shuffling is just something done
So there's something to do
So learn a few magic tricks
Or leave everything where it is
