Outside

Getting on board with not being on board 
It's an exercise in not getting bored 
Boring into things, but never going inside 
Except for brief moments, to get out of the rain 
Outside is in, at least where I go 
In the right light, a sin 
Disconnected but not dissociative
Eyes on while not plugged in 
A commentary, running, not too far away 
Memberships partial 
Duties reassigned 
Not quite an exit 
Almost nauseous 
With these tattoos temporary 
Shibboleths muttered 
Doors might open 
But I won't prop them 
It's a role 
Even if it's off the playbill 
Without a ticket 
To stand outside 
And watch
