Divided Highway

No need to stop
For ambulance screams
When you’re on the other side
Of these concrete beams

There less of a danger
Of hitting head-on
And yet I glance over
To see if you’re yon

No I don’t know
Anything about
But we keep passing
There cannot be doubt

We’ll move on I’m sure
Passed the passage way
Crunching the leaves
Of autumn one day

But maybe then we’ll be going
Down the same side of the track
And I hope that it’s flowing
Our eyes over the crack
