This coal-fired engine
Does not burn clean
Covering the land
In soot and heat
And it cannot be converted
For these tracks won't support
Any other type
Chugging and chugging
Shovel to fire
So as I quit the train business
And swap to metabolism
Can I eat enough?
To replace the coal?
And still be satisfied
With a motion
Less defined by a specific gauge
And more adaptive to the landscape?
