Incityous

Urban agglomerations
Like the viruses
That they effectively propagate
They resonate
At certain natural frequencies
Leading the body
To be drawn in

That metropolitan siren
Tie me to an oak
So that I may pass by
And not be pulled in
To the lights
And the energy
And the surge of humanity

The earth won't forgive
Another long absence
From its loamy embrace
And so can I find a way
To see the future
With nature the raison
Trees the d'être
And a garden the dream
